Cary Neighborhood - Choosing the Best One for You

Cary Neighborhood

Choosing the Best Cary Neighborhood for Your Family

Luckily in Cary, NC it's really hard to go wrong choosing the best Cary Neighborhood for your family. Cary is well known in the region for being a great place to live. Many people live in Cary because of the great neighborhoods!

So choosing the best neighborhood for your family really boils down to your price range, size of home needed, age of home desired, commute desired and possibly the school. Cary is also well known for it's excellent schools! Some of the middle and high schools may offer a focus that is more desirable to your child like sports, theater arts, academic programs, etc. Many elementary schools are nestled into the neighborhoods, making it great for being able to walk to school. However, be warned that the local school zone policies are ever changing and the closest school may not be your zoned school. Use this Guide to Determine School Choice and always double check before buying a house based on school zone.

Cary, for being a small town, is fairly spread out. So depending on work commute time, you may either consider West or East Cary, as highway access may be important to you depending on the work location.

Amenities and conveniences for shopping and dining are readily available to all Cary Neighborhoods. The West side of Cary is where many of the newer developments and shopping centers are located. However East Cary has some of the more established retail establishments, as well as the Mall and major retail.

Cary is a Town in and of itself, not just a suburb of Raleigh. The Town of Cary does an excellent job of maintaining the Town and offering residents a wide variety of amenities. Centered around downtown Cary you will find more of the older Cary Neighborhoods. Cary's established neighborhoods are very desirable because of location. If you prefer newer construction, there is no shortage of that here, as the area has been booming for the last 20 years.

Some Cary Neighborhoods offer a more "master planned" feel with neighborhood amenities such as pools, tennis, walking trails, etc. These neighborhoods typically involve a Home Owners Association (HOA). For some people this means security in the fact that the neighborhood will be well maintained and looking good. For others HOA spells intrusiveness. It's a personal preference.

The most efficient way to discover the best Cary Neighborhood for your family is to work with a local real estate expert. I have helped many families relocate to the Cary, NC area so I understand it can be a challenging, yet exciting time in your life. Many important decisions must be made, often on a short timeline. Western Wake Farmers Market

Farmers Market in Cary, North Carolina

The Western Wake Farmers Market in West Cary, NC is a much anticipated part of the weekend for many locals.

Held each Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. from April to November and from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. December to March, the Western Wake Farmers Market is a great resource for local produce, hand made goods, fresh flowers and gourmet foods.
Since all of the produce is locally grown, the selection changes throughout the year. Check here for What's in Season at the Western Wake Farmers Market.

The produce is super fresh and exceptional. But there's much more than fruits and veggies to temp you at this market. Fresh bread, locally made pastries, farm to truck food vendors, pottery, soaps, micro brews, coffee roasters, fresh cheese, and so much more!

Located on Morrisville Carpenter Rd. between Davis Dr. and Hwy. 55 in Carpenter Village there is plenty of parking and easy access from several neighborhoods within walking distance such as Carpenter Village, Madison Place Townhomes, and Lakeridge Townhomes.

This part of Cary has seen tremendous growth in recent years with the development of new neighborhoods and introduction of many new shopping centers, restaurants and other services.
