Bluegrass Festival Event in Raleigh NC 29th Sept to 4th October
If you love Bluegrass music then Raleigh is the place to be from the 29th September to 4th October where you can feast your eyes and feed your soul!
Apart from the IBMA conference for aspiring Bluegrass musicians and those in the industry who will be attending, assisting and working with the community, there is an open air festival in the streets of Raleigh, a fantastic event for the whole family to come on down and soak up the fun!
The IBMA award ceremony will be held on the 2nd of October at 7.30pm at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts in Raleigh NC. The five nominees for the Entertainer of the Year from 2014 will all perform. Balsam Range, Blue Highway, Dailey & Vincent, The Gibson Brothers and The Del McCoury Band. Claire Lynch who is the female vocalist nominee of the year, the instrumental Group of the Year Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen and the emerging artists from last year including Della Mae and The Boxcars will also perform! Lee Ann Womack and Jerry Douglas who were the awards show hosts will also be performing that evening!
You will also get to see Ben Eldridge, Tom Gray and John Starling from Seldom Scene and then The Spinney Brothers who are being inducted into this year's Hall of Fame!
This is a premier event for Bluegrass music lovers!
